Dr. Orlando is an orthopedic, sports medicine, and pediatric trained therapist. He has over 14 years of clinical experience including treatment of amateur and professional athletes, CEO’s, and TV/Radio personalities.
Dr. Orlando received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2000, where he graduated cum laude, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of NJ in 2007. He further advanced his education with course work in the McKenzie protocol spinal disorders, NDT principles for pediatrics and geriatrics, and Strain Counterstrain Technique from the Jones Institute. Additionally, Dr. Orlando is a Graston Technique Certified Practitioner and certified personal trainer. He strongly believes incorporating a variety techniques helps bring the best overall care to each patient.
Prior to starting his own clinic, Dr. Orlando worked for the NYC Board of Education for 7 years designing treatment programs for children with developmental disabilities so as to enhance their neurological and physical capabilities. Disenchanted with the productivity pressures commonly found in most doctor’s offices, he founded Orlando Physical Therapy with its core focus being to eliminate the patient "treadmill" mentality that other clinics institute and instead devote more time towards one-to-one patient care and advocacy. Dr. Orlando takes the time to make a personable connection with the people he treats by making a point to understand how they feel, their concerns, and devises a long-term game plan that is individually tailored to each patient.
He brings that same compassion within his own community, where he sponsored and participated in a seminar for Hoboken Family Alliance Bike Camp aimed at helping a child with disabilities learn to ride a bike. Dr. Orlando currently resides in Hoboken with his wife and three young children.
